Hi! I’m Melanie and I love all things sweet. However, all things sweet doesn’t always love me back. Hardly seems fair, right?! How brilliant is it to begin a baking blog, only to discover 10 months into it that you have a sensitivity to sugar. So, after the moping and the “poor me” thoughts finally subsided, I decided to see if I could find a solution to not being able to have processed-sugar laden desserts. I asked myself just how realistic is it that I will live the rest of my life without the occasional sweet treat?! “Not very”, I answered in response. Well, I don’t think you should have to live without dessert either. So, I’m going to do my level best to bring you more healthfully sweetened treats. I hope what I bring you here on Dreaming Dessert will satisfy your occasional sweet indulgence.

One more thing, though…I’ve left my processed sugar treats on Dreaming Dessert because it just didn’t seem fair to my friends who have followed me from the beginning, and would like to refer back to a favorite recipe. I think it will be pretty easy to see the difference, with a quick glance at the ingredient list.
